Hotel Sonnenberg can look back to many decades of being a great meeting place for people and their stories. It’s a traditional Grindelwald hotel and has been managed by the Bittner-Candolo family for four generations.

What marks us off as unique is our stunning location and, above all, our cosy atmosphere and special warmth. Moreover, we love and appreciate our region, and this love is reflected in everything we do and offer. And we’ve got a dedicated team, the Sonnenberg family, where some of us have been with us for many years and where everyone seeks to provide a warm, welcoming environment.

1 hotel, 2 chalets and plenty of space for everyone’s personal needs

Hotel Sonnenberg comprises two chalets, both of them built in a characteristic Swiss style and fitting seamlessly into the surrounding countryside. The main chalet has 15 comfortable rooms and a dining room, while the second chalet has eight rooms. Why not have a look inside? You’re bound to find your favourite among the rooms we offer

The immense range of options near our hotel are truly special, both in summer and in winter. Enjoy some of the many walks near us and in the mountains, countless activities and the outstanding skiing landscape of the Bernese Oberland
